Premises for the Russo-Iranian War
Although currently the Russian federation is doing business with Iran,
the basic premise of the project is that Russian military leaders
concluded directly after January 1995, the help for Chechen rebels was
being funnelled through northern Iran with the help of Iranina mullahs,
and a plan was submitted to launch a military ground campaign which
included an invasion of northern Iran west of the Capsian Sea; with
purpsoe of the invasion was to shut down the means Chechen and other
guerillas were using to move supplies through northern Iran to Chechnya.
Inherent in this scenario is that cooperation with Kazakhstan and other
southern CIS republics included local security for troop movments and
airfields, as well as local operations by Russian federation security
forces to suppress partisans operating against the Russian Army.
Included as well was basing rights for advanced fighters to
operate out of the airport at Baku, and for Naval infantry units to
base and operate from that port.
Information about this area is severely lacking but apparently the area
is a nightmare for mechanized forces with sleep gradients and few
roads.
In order for forces to be deployed into the area, most of the initial
deployments must take place near rails, which suggests a vulnerability
for the Russian Army in local security in this early deployment, as
rails in this area run around hills and moutains, which mask guerilla
movment and activities
